Weapons are a category of equipment in Dragon's Dogma, and Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen, dedicated to dealing and avoiding damage in combat.
Overview[]
There are thirteen classes of weapons in Dragon's Dogma - each class is restricted to specific vocations. The weapon classes can be further categorized into: physical or magickal damage; for close and ranged combat; and primary or secondary. Additionally, physical weapons deal either blunt or slashing damage.
The primary stat of any weapon is its Magick and or Strength, which is a major factor in Damage. The other main stat of all weapons are their Knockdown (and Stagger) power.

Notes[]
- Weapons have level requirement that is not displayed anywhere. A character using weapon at a lower level than the requirement will experience increased Stamina drain while sprinting and using Skills, and will expend Stamina even with Core Skills.
- Together with clothing and armor weapons can be improved by Enhancing, Dragonforging, and Rarefying.
