The Sorcerer's Appraisal is a quest available in Dragon's Dogma II.

Quest Requirements[]
From the stairs inside his home, Myrddin takes the high ground and unleashes his master sorcerer abilities against the unwelcomed Arisen.
To start the quest, the Arisen must be dressed in proper attire. Wearing the Courtly Tunic & Courtly Breeches will strike Myriddin's interest, and he will invite the Arisen inside to begin the quest. If the Arisen does not wear the proper clothing, Myriddin will dismiss the encounter and lock his front door, preventing anyone from entering. If one is too enter his house without permission, Myrddin will attack anyone that invades his home.

- Only 3 grimoires are needed to complete the quest. However, giving all 5 may contribute to increasing affinity with Myrddin resulting in receiving the Maister scroll Myrddin's Chronicle. (verify)
Walkthrough[]
General Walkthrough[1] (Note: This does not included the situation where Meteoron has been learned.)
If Meteoron was learned from Trysha:
[1] Obtain requested grimoires using the Quick Reference above or clicking on the general walkthrough link.
[2] A conversation will commence with Myrddin once he receives the requested Grimoires. He will question the Arisen on how the spell was taught. Two choices will prompt, quest reward and level of affinity gained will be impacted based on decision:
- "Tell him of Trysha" (Best answer. Continue to Step 2)
- "Decline to say" (Quest Ends)
[3] Myrddin will suspect that the Arisen coerced Eini into teaching the spell. To resolve this, place the Turquoise Ring in your inventory and return to Myrddin. The ring is a gift given to the Arisen, after Trysha receives the requested grimoires in the quest Spellbound. The ring does not need to be equipped, but having it signifies friendship with Trysha, which Myrddin will accept as proof. [4] Return to Myrddin in a few days time and speak with him to complete the quest. If affinity is high enough, he we also give the Myrddin's Chronicle which teaches the maister spell Maelstrom.
