Strigoi

Strigoi is an Enemy in Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

These flying beasts have similar appereances to that of a Gargoyle except they are slightly bigger and possess a red colored skin. They fly around delivering lunges and can also attack with their stinger at the end of their tail (usually this is a grab move) and suck the lifeblood of the Arisen and pawns making them a bit stronger in the process.

Can be more or less depending on a few factors such as:

  • Same attack as the gargoyle; flies toward you with its claws extended to knock you to the ground.
  • One of their favored tactics is to try to impale their prey with the stinger at the end of their tail. This is a grab move that can interrupt almost any skill or animation.
    • They can drain health from anyone caught by its stinger.
      • Pawns don't seem to be able to escape by themselves.
  • They seem to get stronger as the fight drags on (Pawns yell this out if it is taking a while to kill them).

Some of the properties of the strigoi include: the ability to transform into an animal, invisibility, and the propensity to drain the vitality of victims via blood loss. Strigoi are also known as immortal vampires.
