Salvation's Badge is an item available in Dragon's Dogma.
Description[]
- "A token carried by all Salvation members, it seems to avow one shares their ideals."
Obtained from Mason as part of the Seeking Salvation quest. Carrying this badge will identify the Arisen as a Salvation member, allowing them to speak with other Salvation members during the quest.
Notes[]
- This does not seem to prevent hostile Salvation Members from attacking the party.
- This item is not required for the quest Rise of the Fallen.
Magick Medal[]
The Salvation's Badge is almost certainly a Magick Medal, or some object derived from it :
- At the conclusion to Chasing Shadows the peddler Madeleine says : '"That knight comes here with some regularity. He asked the names of those who purchased the rare medallions I came upon not long ago." - these are almost certainly the same items that Madeleine is wanted for during the quest Bad Business - according to Ser Marcas : "She is charged by His Grace with trafficking in those queer medallions. As a symbol of Salvation, the sale of such is blasphemy and treason both." - it seems that Julien has been investigating who has been purchasing the items used as a 'Salvation Badge'; however Salvation members or officials would not need to purchase their own items - therefore it seems they were acquiring the raw materials - that is - the rare Magick Medal.
- Furthermore Madeleine's favored Affinity items is such a Magick Medal - for one in love with gold the choice is not unexpected as they command a high prices, though there are many other items that sell for high prices, such as Gold Ore and so on - it seems likely that this affinity is a hint or callback to Madeleine's profitable dealings with Julien. Specifically - if she has the medals she can sell the item and then sell the names of the buyer as well..
The connection is never stated explicitly, and there is no combining or other method to make one from the other.
