Oxen are naturally occurring Fauna in Dragon's Dogma.
Description[]
Oxen are wild and domesticated cattle that roam the woodlands and plains of Gransys. They are docile creatures that will not attack unless provoked, and return to their peaceful grazing if left alone thereafter.
They are often preyed upon by Griffins.

Attacks[]
Attack | Type | Description |
---|---|---|
Head Butt | Phys | Swings its head to hit any attacker that strikes from the front in close proximity. |

Quests[]
- Off With Its Head - escort the Ox cart
- Arise to Power - slay 29 Oxen
Notes[]
- Vulnerable to all debilitations, except Frozen.
- If the Arisen climbs onto their back, they will run off and try to buck, while pawns give chase and try to kill the Ox.
- Stamina drain whilst climbing on an Ox depends on position; on top of the Ox the Arisen can 'ride' it without stamina-loss.
- Ox takes extra damage compare to that expected from its stats using Damage Calculation - this maybe because the Ox is considered always out of battle stance, or because it is very stupid.
