Measures of goodness[]

  • The measure of goodness per price in gold is obtained by dividing the amount restored by the cost. (Rounded to the nearest hundredth, where necessary.)
  • The measure of goodness per 0.01 unit weight is obtained by dividing the amount restored by the weight, and then dividing again by 100. (Rounded to the nearest hundredth, where necessary.)
  • Group effects are not factored into measures of goodness.

Stamina[]

  • The figures show the humble Mushroom to be superior in terms of cost to all other single user stamina curatives.
  • The group stamina curative Mushroom Potage is better in terms of weight (to the Mushroom) even for a party of one, and superior to all other stamina curatives for a party of four in terms of weight. In terms of price per gold coin - for a party of four Mushroom Potage works out at twice the cost of a Mushroom, but is as good as all other cheap stamina curatives.
  • Stamina restoration values are approximate but accurate to around 50 points.

Health[]

  • Godly Analeptic is the best for health healing for the weight, followed by Lordly Tonic, if one has 3500 hp to heal - in all other circumstances the humble Small Nut or Kingwarish are 'better'.
  • In terms of healing per gold coin many of the basic curatives are best - the widely available Greenwarish give the best value for money, at twice the value of the Small Nut.
  • Technically the Twigbean is the cheapest curative, but is limited in quantity available, reducing its utility - if the Twigbeans were allowed to become ripe, the measure of goodness on cost for Moldy Twigbean would exceed all others by around 5x.
    • Berrys and Carrots also improve in effect and sale price when allowed to become moldy - like the Twigbean they are also limited in quantity.
  • Spring Water has a capital cost of 20G, the price of an Empty Flask, giving it the greatest value for money of all curatives, many times the next best, even before group healing is accounted for - the extra time required to gather the fluid partially negates the excellent value.

Pawn use[]

  • Pawns will generally only use health restoring items that are classed as curatives; and they won't use group curatives to heal themselves. They tend to use lesser and less useful items first, though not in absolute order of healing-ness...
