Invulnerability (also commonly known as i-frames) refers to usually short windows of time whence the Arisen (or pawn) is immune to most attacks.
Overview[]
During animation i-frames a character becomes invulnerable to all foe attacks, and cannot be Staggered or Knockdowned either. The only exception to this rule are creature grabs such as from giant creatures such as Cyclops.
Actions[]
Several skills reliably grant i-frames :
- Full Moon Slash (except the final hit), Hindsight Slash and Dragon's Maw grant i-frames for the whole duration of the skill.
- The riposte after any Perfect Block including during Mystic Knight Shield Counters
- The retreat from Broad Slash.
- The first attack of Exodus Slash. The same applies to a countering move from Clairvoyance.
- The Assassin skill Invisibility effectively grants a short period of invulnerability, not true invisibility.
Notes[]
- See also: Unblockable attacks
- A knocked down Arisen and Pawn are granted i-frames.
- Will not prevent loss of life from Death's scythe.
- Carried allies are generally invulnerable until dropped.
- Grappling lesser foes grants a similar protection to the grappler, but not for all attacks.
- Neither the term "i-frame", nor "invulnerability" is mention in-game.
- Not to be confused with the Invigoration of Impervious.
