- Can be purchased from Barroch after completing the notice board quest Accursed Errand (quest is on notice board in Arisen's Refuge).

- Dropped by an Elder Ogre. They are randomly encountered, frequently in the lower levels of Bitterblack Isle. More so if fresh corpses are around. Using a Rancid Bait Meat may improve the chances of one appearing.
Trivia
- The word Helmbarte derives from the German words "Halm" (meaning "staff") and "Barte" (meaning "axe"). More commonly known as a Halberd, the Helmbarte was a 6 foot long pole arm carried by German and Swiss Pikemen in the early 14th century. The Helmbarte Daggers are the modified steel head tips of these spear and axe combination weapons.
