Trivia[]
- The term flamberge, meaning "flame blade" in French, is an undulating blade designed to resemble an open flame. When parrying with such a sword, unpleasant vibrations may be transmitted into the attacker's weapon caused by the additional friction created by the waves on this blade. The unusual cross section of the blade would also inflict wider wounds with a thrust while still keeping the blade light. (Source : paraphrased from Wikipedia).
