Metered Catharsis is a DLC weapon available in Dragon's Dogma.
Description[]
- "A magickal bow of queer design but unerring accuracy. Especially effective against humanoid foes."
Metered Catharsis doubles attack power and so increases damage against humanoid foes compared to a magick bow of similar power.
Generally the bow is only effective against persons hostile to the Arisen - this includes both male and female Bandits, and Salvation Members; Corrupted Pawn on Bitterblack Isle also take extra damage.
Allies are generally not affected, even if the become hostile - this includes most Soldiers, Edmun Dragonsbane, as well as Pawns that have become Possessed, including those found in the Chamber of Lament.
Creatures that were once human such as Undead are not affected.

- ERROR!!! Oddly though hostile Gran Soren guards in the Noble Quarter don't receive extra damage, those in the Craftsman's Quarter do. (both during Post-Game after A Warm Welcome)
