  • Once enchanted, blocks with the Magick Shield do a small amount of Holy damage.
  • Perfect Blocks (with the Core Skill of Reflect learnt) conjure holy orbs which slowly travel outwards, damaging all foes they come into contact with. After a few seconds the orbs dissipate.
    • The orbs do not home, and travel in straight lines.
    • Orb duration increases with tier
    • Whilst Blessed Riposte conjures three orbs that move forward in a narrowish cone; Hallowed Feint's five orbs expand outwards in a pentagonal pattern.
    • The orbs from Blessed Riposte move a little slower than from the other spells
  • Each orb is a purely magickal construct, are are relatively weak, using only half the caster's total magick to contribute to orb power, with nearly no base magick power.
    • They strike with holy damage
    • Due to the high strike rate the spell has excellent stagger properties if a foe is 'caught' by an orb.
  • The spells make performing Perfect Blocks slightly easier.
  • The Prescience Augment make perfect blocking easier.

With Great Cannon[]

These spells have special utility in combination with Great Cannon sigils - the orbs will strike and trigger a sigil, and due to their high strike rate can produce many many orbs.

Blessed Riposte works particularly well since all three orbs will strike a cannon sigil for the first half of their journey if positioned correctly (with the cannon sigil very close to the shield), tripling rate of fire; the slightly lower movement rate also ensured they stay in contact for the sigil for longer.

Notes[]

  • To cast the higher tier spells the incantation must be held for the casting to fully complete otherwise only the lower tier spell will be made.
  • (Glitch) In Dark Arisen transitioning between areas with this skill active will randomly add a debilitation. The next enemy hit will be debilitated on the first hit. For details see the notes in Mystic Knight Shield Counters.
