Badge of Vows 39 is a Badge of Vows medal obtained during the From A Different Sky quest of the same number. The badge is the remnant of a former Riftstone, collecting it earns a reward of Rift Crystals.
In the original Dragon's Dogma, Badge of Vows 39 is obtained as part of the From A Different Sky - Part 4 DLC quest pack, in Dark Arisen, the quest is included in the base game.
Overview[]
- "A badge that glimmers with a mysterious light. Similar medals can be found scattered around Gransys."
Found in the main keep of The Greatwall - this location is only accessible during the quest Deny Salvation.
Picking up this item grants a reward of 3 Rift Clusters and 1,000 experience. This item can be duplicated at The Black Cat for 18,750 Gold.
Walkthrough[]
Travel to The Greatwall and enter the main keep.
The badge may be found in the stair passage area that leads from second floor (and Chimera battle) to the ante-room before the third level of the keep, an open rooftop area.
Follow the quest marker to point A in Fig. 1. If possible, rescue Ser Faerma from attacking Skeleton Knight enemies - if rescued he will unlock the gate giving access to the badge even if there are other enemies nearby.
If Ser Faerma was not saved the badge can still be accessed by breaking down the cracked wall near the top of the staircase. Strong sorceror spells, Explosive Barrels, or Warrior attacks can break this wall.
Badge of Vows 39 is located on the ceiling of the staircase within. It can only be seen when facing downstairs.
The badge in Fig. 2 has been enhanced to more clearly depict its location. However, it is not hidden and can easily be spotted once one knows where to look.
The badge will likely need to be dislodged to pick it up - jumping melee attacks, arrows, spells, explosives etc. all work. Pick up the badge to complete the quest.

- Caution! This badge, together with Badge of Vows 40 can only be obtained while the quest Deny Salvation is active.
- It is possible to use the "Barrel Glitch" to enter the Greatwall after Deny Salvation and collect the badges.
- Badge of Vows 39, Badge of Vows 40, Badge of Vows 58, Badge of Vows 87, Badge of Vows 88, Badge of Vows 89, and Badge of Vows 90 do not become available at the notice board until Deny Salvation is begun -all of these 'cept Badge of Vows 58 are found in or around The Greatwall.
