There are various different weapons, ordinary and magickal, available in Dragon's Dogma. The range of weapons that can be used relies heavily on the vocation of a character.
In addition to the strength and quality of a weapon, weapons have level requirement that is not displayed anywhere. A character using weapon at a lower level than the requirement will experience increased Stamina drain while sprinting and using Skills, and will expend Stamina even with Core Skills.
The weapon classes are : Swords, Daggers, Longswords, Warhammers, Maces, Shields, Magick Shields, Shortbows, Longbows, Magick Bows, Staves, and Archistaves.
