In the original Dragon's Dogma, Badge of Vows 95 is obtained as part of the From A Different Sky - Part 10 DLC quest pack, in Dark Arisen, the quest is included in the base game.
Overview[]
- "A badge that glimmers with a mysterious light. Similar medals can be found scattered around Gransys."
Found on a hill on the south side of Windworn Valley. Accessing the hill needs either a difficult jump, or one can fly a harpy to the location.
Picking up this item grants a reward of 3 Rift Clusters and 1,000 experience. This item can be duplicated at The Black Cat for 18,750 Gold.
Walkthrough[]
Badge of Vows #95
Travel to Windworn Valley. There are two main routes to the badge - either hitch a ride on a Snow Harpy up to the hill summit, or, travel to the end of the hill nearest to the coast and use a series of running double jumps to climb it.
There is a third method, involving a very long jump from an adjacent hill, but will generally only be accomplishable by spellcasters with the core skill levitate.
Jumping method[]
You will need to go south east of the hill the badge is on - head south east through the windy valley, then turn right to the tip of the lowest point of the hill, which is close to the cliff edge overlooking the sea. Either a running jump with Double Vault and or Levitate are usually needed to get onto the hill..
Try jumping from the patch of stone south of the outcropping to the patch of stone overlooking the path, or just do a running jump and then a delayed double jump from below towards a white patch of stone sticking outside the mountain. Then another running jump from the white stone northwards and upwards.
Dragon's Dogma Dark Arisen Badge of Vows 95 Double Jump
Double jump to grab the rock ledge, followed by sliding running double jump
- The special skills Sky Rapture (Mystic Knight) or Sunflare (Magick Archer) trivialize the jumps needed
- Use of a Frigor ice block can also turn this difficult jump into an easy one.
- Dagger classes can use an unarmed jump exploit. Remove the daggers, and [jump], [heavy attack], [jump], [double vault] for the difficult jump.
- With only Double Vault, for the second jump one can try a running jump, then 'slide' up the hill very briefly, then jump again.
Levitate from the adjacent hill[]
Another way of acquiring this badge is to a Running jump with levitate from the adjacent hill. Climb the hill to the north of the badge, identifiable due to the presence of a captive cage on its summit.
From the summit, take a running jump followed by levitate towards the badge. The jump and levitation should be taken at the last moments possible for each.
Aim for a lower ledge to the left side with a tree covering it over. Assuming the jump was successfully made, a second small jump is needed to reach the summit, where the badge lies.
Fly a Snow Harpy[]
This is possibly the easiest way with a little patience, though pawns may cause problems if they try to kill the flier. Grab a Snow Harpy and fly up to the location (pushing the movement stick in the correct direction may help) - once near or over the edge jump off for the hilltop.
This may take a few attempts, as it is not easy to control them. Note that the Snow Harpies only spawn during the day.
