Walkthrough[]

The badge is found in the Duke's Solar within the Duke's Demesne - it is located on the right hand side of the fireplace.

The mantelpiece cannot be reached with a Double Vault. There are several ways to obtain the badge, including using High Frigor to create an ice block stepping stone, or the use of barrels for a similar purpose.

Frigor method[]

A High or Grand Frigor Ice block allows access to the badge (the badge has been enlarged for illustrative clarity)

Enter during the day around mid-morning or later after the Duke has left the room. If other people enter the room, wait for them to leave.

As any of the vocations that use magick, cast Frigor / High Frigor near the fireplace. If done correctly, this will create a platform of ice that can be used to jump on to grab the badge - if the spell is misplaced the climbable block of ice will not form. (see the image for a successful cast)

Barrel stacking[]

For stacking details, see Barrel.

Two barrels stacked.. Easy!

Stack barrels to reach the badge - if luckily placed a single barrel may allow the badge to be reached -however it is easy to stack one barrel on top of another reliably create a suitable platform.

Barrels can be found in several rooms within the castle. Place on near the badge and table, the climb the table, pick up a second barrel, and place it on top of the first. The Arisen can then jump and grab onto the second barrel, climb up, and take the badge.

A single barrel lifted up to then placed on the side cupboard by the wall may also get near enough to the badge if climbed on.
