Badge of Vows 57 is a Badge of Vows medal obtained during the From A Different Sky quest of the same number. The badge is the remnant of a former Riftstone, collecting it earns a reward of Rift Crystals.

In the original Dragon's Dogma, Badge of Vows 57 is obtained as part of the From A Different Sky - Part 6 DLC quest pack, in Dark Arisen, the quest is included in the base game.

Description

"A badge that glimmers with a mysterious light. Similar medals can be found scattered around Gransys."

A quest item. The self-titled quest to activate this item may be found on the lower level Notice Board in the Pawn Guild. Picking up this item grants a reward of 2 Rift Clusters and 1,000 experience.

This item can be duplicated at The Black Cat for 18,750 Gold.

Overview

Location

Dripstone Cave in large open room with the Emperor's Pillar at the center.

BoV 57 VisLoc enh

Fig. 2: The same view as Fig. 1. However, Badge of Vows #57 has been enlarged and enhanced to better depict its location.

Follow the quest marker. The badge is high up in a hole that acts as a skylight to the cavern. The hole is to the left and above from the ledge leading into the chamber coming from the Cassardis well.

Badge of Vows 57 can be difficult to spot even after knowing its exact location. Ranger's Comet Shot or Assassin's Lyncean/Eagle Eye allows one to zoom in and see it more easily. Magick Archer's Magick Radiance skill can help illuminate the dark area and counter the glare from the 'skylight' during the day. Fig. 2 provides the same view as Fig. 1 but the badge has been enlarged and enhanced to better depict its location. Both Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 are thumbnails and will enlarge upon clicking on them.

Once Badge of Vows #57 has been shot down and picked up the quest will successfully complete.

Walkthrough

The badge can be found in a small hole just above the ledge used to drop into the room when entering the cave from the Cassardis well. The badge can be difficult to spot during the day as the hole is filled with light until night sets in.

Any targetable ranged skill or spell can be used to loosen the badge from its high location - once released the badge will fall to the ground allowing it to be picked up.

A standard bow shot such as loose is enough to release the badge; skills like Comet Shot or Lyncean Sight can make it easier to pinpoint the badge at the bottom right corner of the hole. Targetted spells such as  Ingle or Levin will release it, as will broader spells such as High Brontide or Maelstrom. Warriors may use the skill Arc of Deliverance on the ledge - the shockwave will dislodge the badge.

Notes

The badge may be difficult to locate once it is shot down and it may be necessary to revert to the save point.
