Trivia
- Named after the Olympian deity Apollo of Greek Mythology, who slew the earth-dragon Python in Delphi after Hera sent it to kill his mother, Leto, for her affair with Zeus. The serpent Python was the son of Gaia and he stood guard over the stone omphalos, the navel at the center of the earth.
